Rail Corrugation of High-Speed Railway Induced by Rail Grinding

Rail corrugation is a common railway defect that involves diverse and complex factors. grinding also the most commonly used method to address corrugations. Through numerous irregularity tests one-third octave frequency spectrum analyses, this study determined characteristics development process for rail on high-speed tracks. The vibration transmission properties of train were tested using force hammer impacting method. Thereafter, simulation, influence vertical behavior stone stiffness hydraulics determined. series field numerical simulations, revealed clear correlation between confirmed technical operation closely associated with regular marks at wavelength approximately 60 mm surfaces. combination natural (frequency Hz) an inappropriate operational can aggravate surfaces, thereby forming initial excitation corrugation. Although large number are performed after grinding, these wavelength-fixing cause formation Suggestions improving rail-grinding technology provided.
